RAPUNZEL and the WITCHES 

(KS2 £20.00)
A lively happy funny 35 minute  musical for ages 7 upwards. Witches steal baby Rapunzel who grows into a lovely girl with long hair. Jealous of Rapunzel's beauty, the witches lock her in a tower. Rapunzel escapes to play with the animals, but she is caught. As a punishment, they cut off her hair and remove the stairs from the tower. The cut hair is woven into a rope Each day, a witch climbs up the rope to feed the sad lonely girl, and leaves with the rope to prevent Rapunzel from escaping. One day, a prince is passing, and hears Rapunzel singing. 
Infatuated, he climbs the rope which the witch has forgotten to take with her, but falls and loses his sight and his memory. Some time later, as a beggar, he meets Rapunzel again. Her tears fall into his eyes, curing him. The King and Rapunzel's real family come in search of their offspring. All are reunited and the witches go to jail. We love this play and hope you will too.

(NOTE:In the authentic tale, the witch climbs Rapunzel's hair but in this version, the hair becomes a detached rope to make things more practical. No actual climbing or other gymnastics are used!)
